Have you ever had too many choices and as a result you don’t make a decision at all? That’s called maximizing and is the seventh habit from Successful Women Think Differently.
In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of Successful Women Think Differently, we are walking through the nine habits to make you happier, healthier, and more resilient.
Habit #7: Don’t be a maximizer.
Many of us constantly find ourselves trying to achieve perfection. We want to make the best choice in any decision.
But I want you to remember that the perfect choice is elusive.
There is no perfection.
In the world we live in today, this is a bigger problem than ever before because we have more choices than we have ever had.
The truth of the matter is abundance can be wonderful, but overabundance can rob us of satisfaction.
Instead of maximizing, you need to determine your minimum standard. Once you get there, run with it.
Having more choices isn’t always a good thing. Sometimes having more choices just means more headaches which leads to you getting stuck.
Decide what you want, now. When you get it, make the decision to be satisfied.
